Michelin-trained chef welcomed to the team...

The Dog Inn is thrilled to announce the appointment of Michelin-trained Terry North as head chef.

Terry has over 30 years experience including several years working as senior sous chef to Andy Gray at the acclaimed Gleneagles resort. Terry deputised for Andy while the restaurant had earned and retained it's 2 michelin stars.

Terry commented, "I had been looking for a new and fresh challenge following a long stint abroad and just loved The Dog Inn when I saw it...Wingham is a picture postcard village and to be settled in such a lovely area is fantastic too...." He added "I am aware that Richard and Sherry's restaurant already has an excellent reputation for its food but I'm here to take things to a new level!"

Terry's style of cooking is all of its own but focuses on all that's good in modern British cooking; local fish, locally reared meats, and game from nearby shoots are already a firm fixture on his daily changing menu's. Terry's signature dish is Kent Lamb rump, pan-roasted and served with a mint hollandaise.
